software: "created by humans" #72

We currently write:

Software: Source code, documentation, tests, executables and all other artefacts that are created by humans during the development process that are necessary to understand its purpose.

I do not understand what "created by humans" here means. Who or what else creates "source code, documentation, tests and executables" and why does it matter who or what created it? "auto-generated software" would also be software, as would be "AI-generated software" (which is nothing else than software-generated software).
