Just some clarification of the issue. I'm watching the streamed tv with links
in *.m3u file. the android app talks to the VLC running on Windows or Linux
through the HTTP interface. When the tracks are switched on the andoid
application, the remote VLC exits screen mode, which is quite annoying when
watching tv in such way

Does the web interface (http://localhost:8080) have the same problem?

Yes, I described it for the web interface.
What is interesting, is when the VLC on the PC is switched onto Minimal View
mode, and then use the full screen mode (on the PC, not on android app), then,
using the << or >> button on android app retains the full-screen mode.
When VLC is run on the PC in its default mode (no checksmarks under VLC's View
menue), then this issue happens - full screen is not retained.
If VLC is not in 'Minimal View' and is put into 'FullScreen mode' using the F11
button on the PC, the vlc goes maximised windowed mode. When android app uses
the full screen button, the vlc then goes real full-screen mode. After
switching a track with >> or << the vlc goes back to maximized window mode.
The same happens in 'advaced control' view mode.
The only correct behavior seems to be achieved only when the VLC is in the
Minimal View mode and the FullScreen (F11) menu is selected on the PC side
first. Then switching tracks on the android app maintains the full-screen mode.

If the web interface has the same problem, then a bug should be filed against
VLC instead of VLC Remote.
