This pull request is focused on resolving occurrences of Sonar rules squid:S1153- String.valueOf() should not be appended to a String. squid:S1170 - Public constants should be declared "static final" rather than merely "final". squid:S2178 - Short-circuit logic should be used in boolean contexts.
