Incorporate feedback from a colleague with attention defecit disorder (ADD):
We discussed some ideas for how to mitigate these feelings:
Andy: "Setting the expectations for them so when they are being planned, the comms are clear. Helps in general too to make sure they have a goal or outcome or purpose and how they'll be acheived."

I've had a look at the communities of practice guidance in the Design Manual, but it doesn't reflect the guidance I wrote previously.
