Explore ideas for creating a homepage for school users which shows alerts, key things to do and guidance

Why?

As we'll be designing a journey to add & view or change ECTs / mentors, we want to also explore the idea of creating a homepage which contains key information that a user needs to know contextually. This is where we can explore giving alerts or information that links users to what is next for them to do, such as assigning mentors to ECTs, updating end dates etc.

We also know from user research that schools desperately want guidance on the sequence of what they need to do for their ECTs and mentors. They want to know exactly where they need to register things in and in what order. We could explore giving them guidance on this wider registration ecosystem on this page too.

Some thoughts on the potential needs here:

• show schools stuff that we as Dfe or lead providers need to bring to their attention (e.g. do we need to notify them when a lead provider states they're working with them?)
• help schools understand wider registration ecosystem
• keep them up to date with any changes in policy or the digital service
• when we notice a problem in a record, flag it to them to fix? (e.g. the whole cohorts issue here and working out if people are still training maybe?)
