Game is just white screen and sound (Mac is Ventura 13.5.2, M1 chip) (FIXED) #4649

I am new to Dwarf Fortress so forgive me with my unfamiliarity but I have tried the following things: Changing the PRINT_MODE from TEXT to STANDARD or TWBT does not change anything. and I tried turning on the retina plugin to hopefully change something but nothing happens (I don't think I have the plugin downloaded).

If anybody has any solutions to my issue, I will be very grateful for your replies and I can elaborate on anything if it can be helpful to anybody willing to help.

(edit: so it turns out the problem was that I edited the PRINT_MODE: that was just the comment, not the actual code being [PRINT_MODE:]. Sorry, not really use to changing settings like this.)

What version of DF and DFHack? It's this a DFHack -specific issue, or is the problem with vanilla DF?

What is "the retina plugin"? A link would be helpful.

Assuming you're running 0.47, https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Installation#Mac goes into some detail about fixes for common issues. It sounds like you've already tried some of them, but maybe not all of them.

DF itself is v0.47.05 and DFHack is PyLNP v0.13b for your information. Not sure which of these are the source of the problem though.

So it turns out the problem was that I edited the PRINT_MODE: that was just the comment, not the actual code being [PRINT_MODE:]. Sorry, not really use to changing settings like this.

PyLNP v0.13b is a version of PyLNP, by the way, not of DFHack. The DFHack version should be visible on the title screen.
