abstract = {In the framework of least-squares analysis of experimental data, a “flow-of-information” matrix is defined. This matrix displays the flow of information within the least-squares adjustment. Its elements, called “influences”, show the relative importance of each datum in the determination of each of the adjusted parameters. The “significance”, or quantity of information brought by each datum is defined. Illustrative examples are given.}
