You know this issue seems to occur mostly with people using blackra1n, I'm in
the process of trying a different jailbreak. When getting to welcome to
openiboot text it freezes and the one time I managed to go farther and get it
installed it scrolled so I'm going to try different jailbreaks.

Upload that shit man, I still can't get openiboot to install. Still freezes on
R9, and if I just try and boot android without installing(just let go of home
when you see the openiboot screen) I get to something about the wi-fi drivers
and it looks like it's going to work but it just sort of hangs there :(, tried
on a core 2 extreme iMac 24" and 15" iMac g4. Hope R10 is the right one for me.
I really don't want to do it manually. Although I will if I have to.

I'm going to bed, hopefully this will all be worked out before Monday so I can
get android on my moms 3G. Be even cooler if the 3GS version exists when my new
iPhone arrives from Apple(dust under screen=free replacement). Very doubtful
but then again I was doubtful that we would ever see a full OS with GUI on the
iPhone platform other than Apples own.

After all, I noticed blackrain has a big lacking on some libs missing.
Unbelievable. I always said redsn0w is the best jailbreak out there. Why people
are using blackrain ???!! (the easiest but the incomplete) Damn!

I have to be honest, in regards to openiboot freezing, jailbreaking with
redsn0w has given me the same result. And like I sad, I didn't install
openiboot and just booted android the one time to see if that would work and it
hung on the wi-fi drivers even though it detected them fine and everything.

I told you I did try redsn0w after restoring from a blackra1n jailbreak. Same
results.

most people when complain infinite scrolling, they are using blackrain. But,
it's good this thread because it makes me to do something else to get rid of,
but so far for a solution. redsn0w could get this problem OR NOT, blackrain IS
GUARANTEED! I need more time (the problem is gone but important files are
missing)

Got it working, had to install openiboot manually in linux though. Thanks for
your help sergio. I'll be sure to try r10. Hope all this stuff is ported to the
3GS soon. My mom won't want me using her iPhone forever. Openiboot still did
freeze in linux but I unplugged the USB cable and plugged it back in and that
unfroze it, I then ran oibc after getting some other stuff and it finally
worked. I backed up the nor and installed. Everything works now.

Exist an alpha version of iPhoDroid for 3GS?

For those who are using blackra1n, my advice is: run ultrasn0w too and you're
good to go

...and 3GS not yet. Sorry. Im concentrating my efforts now for Windows Platform
and btw, the labs are going great!

...R10 still not necessary. That's my conclusion for now

Hey Sergio. I'm having this issue where I'm unable to get the iphone to restore
to a clean 3.1.2. It stops close to the end. But I was able to jailbreak and
get it to boot in iphone os. But now the phone wont sync. Can you help with
this issue? I've posted this issue previously

Hey vannhut

You can run R9 on any IP, just change it at the time you run. Thanks for your
words. Im hardly working on to make it better. The time is my enemy. School and
Job are killing me :-))
