Well, if you're talking about the iPhoDroid, i'm using the latest release 0.6
Beta 10. Should I uninstall through iPhoDroid before I try and re-install
again?

did you jailbkeark with redsnow 0.9.4 (this is for 3.1.2 fw)?
Original comment by sergiomcfly
on 18 Jun 2010 at 1:22
If you're asking me, then no. For the 3.1.2 fw I used PwnageTool. However,
now I'm at 3.1.3 fw using PwnageTool 3.5.

I went back to R9 from
http://code.google.com/p/iphodroid/downloads/detail?name=iPhoDroid_0.6beta_R9.zi
p&can=2&q= and the touch screen seems to be working. Not sure what bugs are
present, or if there are any negative consequences running R9. If you are
dying to try Android on a 2G that is what worked for me.

I am using an iPhone 2G with 3.1.2 unlocked with redsn0w using the R9 as you
instructed, but I am still unable to get the touchscreen to work. Android
isn't frozen because it asks to unlock and close an unresponsive program but I
can't do anything since the touch screen doesn't work.
Any help is appreciated.

This probably has something to do with the known issue regarding 3rd party
digitizers. I would guess that everyone, myself included, having this problem
has a Chinese 3rd party replacement digitizer. I have tried every fix that I
can find and nothing seems to work. I think there are multiple versions of
these Chinese screens, and each one will need a separate fix. I have given up
on iDroid at this point.

Today I installed Android on my iPhone 3G running iOS4.0 using the latest beta
build0.6. The installation worked flawlessly and I can boot either into Android
or iOS using OpeniBoot. However once booted, Android is non responsive to
touch. Only the home button seems to anything, bringing up a menu but that's
all.
The phone boots into iOS4 normally and I've not had any issues with that. Only
Android is affected.

Still no touchscreen function with r12. Using 16GB 3G with iOS 4 jailbroken
with pwnage 4.01. Is there something I should be looking for via logs to see
where the problem lies?
Home (menu) button, and lock button work. volume up button causes the android
to process to crash, and I can't tap the screen to force quit.

I was able to get the touchscreen working by restoring to 3.1.3 (on iPhone 3G)
and using redsnow. Had to select the 3.1.2 IPSW within redsnow. Now I am
running nice Froyo but it won't recognize my SIM. Going to try runnning
Ultrasn0w now.

@classicmac
I did what you suggested, and used iPhoDroid 0.6b R9 and the touchscreen works
great. I can't make calls, use wifi, or send text messages though. Whatever
touch issues are coming up for later builds, it may be worth it to take a look
at the R9 build and see what is different for the touch stuff. Maybe taking
out the MacFUSE step is what's causing all these issues? Purely speculation,
but it's somewhere to start...

I had this issue, rebooted a couple of times and now it is working.
I have a 3G, Pwned, on iOS4.
Started with R11.
Did not uninstall R11, just installed R12 over it.
Only thing weird I've noticed is that I don't get the new boot screen with the
grassy field unless I start in Recovery Mode and use R12 Runtime. I don't know
if that's something I messed up by installing over R11, but when I use the
Runtime program, the touch doesn't work, but who knows...maybe it will now that
I've rebooted a few times.
