That's for the same reason why there's (error)
opposite iManufacturer and iProduct in lsusb output (string descriptors are missing on the device). What's the full uclogic-probe output?
I'm having a similar issue, my uclogic-probe
output is:
Failed to get manufacturer string descriptor: Pipe error (ERROR_PIPE)
While my lsusb
is:
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 256c:006e
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0cf3:9271 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR9271 802.11n
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 046d:c31c Logitech, Inc. Keyboard K120
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 046d:c077 Logitech, Inc. M105 Optical Mouse
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Some background in my case, I'm running on Ubuntu 16.04 with kernel 4.4.0-137-generic and my tablet was working ok until this weekend.
@ericho, are you using a release, or the latest development version?
OK, I'm assuming this was the previous release, and since the development version has something like this fixed, I'm closing the issue. @ericho, please reopen if you still see the problem with the development version.
I have this error if I use uclogic-probe here is lsusb -v
