Cardinal-macOS-universal-10.15-24.05 AU causing Ableton crash when opening #672

Ableton Live 10.1.4 Suite

Description

AU crashes Ableton as soon as it's dragged in. VST3 seems to work. First I've ever had an issue with any Cardinal release. dreadlion13 at gmail.com if any more input is desired. - R

If you just updated from a previous release you might need a computer reboot.

Also are you loading the FX or synth variant?

I loaded the synth on AU. Then the vst3. I will try a reboot.

Rebooted and AU still crashes Ableton immediately.

Confirming Ableton Live 12.0.25 on Sonoma 14.6.1 ARM(Universal) Crashing AU immediately on loading. VST3 seems to be working fine.

I'm having the same problem running Cardinal in ableton. Does anyone know how to fix this?

did you try with 24.09 release?

Yes. That’s the one I’m having problems with.

I'm also still having issues with AU crashing my daw
