If u can summon any bootloader screen where u can change command line
parameters (if u
use UNetbootin than u can create a booatble pen drive and use this as virtual
machine

i think (maybe i'm not correct) that it wont do much before there are hardware
drivers included, because its working on framebuffer, isn't it?

There doesn't appear to be any vga modes available for widescreen resolutions.
Does anyone know if it's currently possible to do this, or what would be
required to add this support?

at bootscreen enter tab...
u will see vga=788 or something
then change vga= any value
and press enter...then it will show all resolution for ur computer...then just
type the mode value of the resolution u want from the screen............:)
