Pre upgrade 1.1.1 after apple release 1.1.2 #256

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. downgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2
2. activate, jailbreak, free SIM, install SSH with iNdependence 1.3b2
3. everything works fine, SIM free, jailbroken....
4. until pre upgrade 1.1.1 and "update" in itunes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
after update in itunes, the phone back to inactivated mode. but it shown
1.1.1 in status bar of iNdependence.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
new iphone 1.1.1, macbook OSX 10.4

Please provide any additional information below.
Is it because itunes download 1.1.2 instead of 1.1.1 from apple?
Would it be solved if i find 1.1.1 firmware in *.ipsw format, and use in
the "update" process?
Thanks.

You can download the 1.1.1 firmware from here:

http://iphone.unlock.no/#restore-firmware-files

please note that 1.1.1 firmwares on apple site, seems to have closed the door
used by
iNdependence...and it might not work..

thanks a lot
btw, I found another link to download the firmware
http://modmyifone.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=6

then I used the method above: press "option" when click "update" in itunes.
it successfully upgrade the firmware, but it become inactivate again.
then I re-activate by using iNdependence.
after reboot twice, it is done.

Mi iTunes only shows 1.1.3 beside "Update". How did you install 1.1.1. in
iTunes with Update and not
Restore? I can't install 1.1.1 for this reason.

in Mac: hold "option" button when click "update"
in Win: hold "alt" button when click "update"

it will bring up a file choose window.
good luck
