Version 1.3 not working with 1.1.2 Out Of The Box OTB #301

I performed the following steps using iNdependence 1.3:
1) Launched iNdependence
2) Attached iPhone
3) Killed iTunes Helper
4) Pressed 'Activate Phone' in iNdependence

What I get is the following error:
'Error, couldn't perform jailbreak.  You need to downgrade to version 1.0.2, 
then perform the 
special firmware (see Help documentation for more details).'

I read the instructions about how to downgrade the firmware, but with 1.1.2 
OTB, there was a 
change in the Boot version (iBoot 204.2.9) and I was afraid to brick my phone 
by using the 
downgrading process.

Any suggestions? Anyone out there downgraded the 1.1.2 OTB?

Sorry, forgot to add the version info:

OS Leopard
iTunes7.5.0
iNdependence 1.3

iPhone 1.1.2 OTB
Baseband 04.02.13_G
iBoot 204.2.9
build version 3B48b

I also forgot to mention that I quit iTunes before pressing the 'Activate 
Phone' button.

Ok, I tried the instructions as well, and it did work.

The only problem with me is anySIM, which does not work. It also does not seem 
to update the time properly, but 
that may be a setting somewhere.

Hey! Does your 1.1.2. OTB iPhone have the bootloader version 4.06 or 4.6 
(people talk about the same thing with 
two different version numbers, i think)?

Mine is iBoot 204.2.9. I assume that means 4.2.9, but I don't know.

Yesterday, I manually loaded the latest anySIM and it actually went through the 
motions to unlock. However, at 
the end a panel appeared explaining that this iPhone could not be unlocked with 
the current anySIM. The 
programmers were kind enough to abort the app before doing anything bad to the 
phone.

Everything else seems to work.

Can you check the bootloader? You can find a way to check that from this page

sorry, the site you mentioned does not make it easy. I would have to download 
something, etc and run a 
command from terminal. I would need a single Terminal command to help you and 
not have to download 
something.

I too have not been able to get this version working with my OOB 1.1.2 phone.

I could, but you have to follow the instructions carefully found in the 
independence help system. Follow the 
instructions to downgrade your system to 1.0.2 and then back to 1.1.2. It 
should jailbreak the phone. It does 
not, however, unlock the phone.

Would anyone know how to add AppTapp or the Installation.app on the phone?

Guys:

If you have an OOTB 1.1.2 iPhone it cannot be unlock (cannot be used as a 
phone).... read the help menu.

I managed to unlock my 1.1.2 OTB phone using a hardware solution. I ordered a 
card from stealthSIM.com and it 
worked perfectly. Super-easy instructions are on their website. There is a 
Canadian distributor:

and another one which is a bit cheaper (can't remember who).
