It sounds like you are getting the endless reboot. I've had this a couple of
times.
If you hold down both the power and home buttons for 10 seconds, then let go of
power
and keep holding home for another 10 seconds, then connect to iTunes, it should
bounce you into a forced restore. In iTunes, hold down option and press
restore and
load 1.0.2. Then go into iNdependence and try again.
The most important thing is to use iNdependence 1.3.1 to load the latest
Anysim, and
use it here. Then do the pre-upgrade and go back to iTunes to update to 1.1.2.
Best
to say it's a new phone rather than an existing restore at this stage.
When you reactivate in Independence, DO NOT run Anysim, it will kill the phone
big
time. It should still be active from 1.0.2. This is why you need the latest
version.
Finally, if you are not in one of the countries the iPhone has already released
in,
you will need to find a copy of INSTALLER and use iWorld to fix a dialer issue.
Anyway, there is hope. I am happily using my iPhone in Australia on 1.1.2.
Works
great and is worth the effort!
Good luck,
Jim

Hi Jim
Thanx for your help!
Before I got your help, I found some help on the net and got the idea of
holding down the home-button after
reboot. That issue is closed.
What seems strange is, that after i downgraded to 1.0.2, actiated, jailbreaked,
uploaded ssh etc., then updatet
to 1.1.2 with iTunes, took control with iNdependence again and actiated,
jailbreaked, uploaded ssh etc. and
this time installed and ran anysim (in Flight-Mode), the phone seemed to work.
BUT!!!
Calling from phonebook worked fine, but can't hang up a call.
Dialling causes iPhone imediately to go back to Home
and other strange things.
Has that something to do with the reason, that I already unloked and activated
the iPhone in earlier times?
You mention to use the latest anySIM. Independence installes automatically the
anySIM. I'm using version
1.3.1 of independence.
So what I'm I doing wrong? Can I recapitulate my steps?
1. Connect iPhone to Mac, force it into a restore! Downgrade to FW 1.0.2, quit
iTunes, take controll with
iNdependence, activate (and jailbreak), install SSH, then finally preupgrade FW
2. in iTunes Upgrade to FW 1.1.2 (no Activation via iTunes).
3. Turn back to iNdependence and proceed the upper steps without preupgrade FW
3. Installing anySIM and run that in Airplane Mode
What's wrong?
