[Announcement] ENA plans to require date and country of sample collection, starting 2023 #26

This is an early warning.

ENA has announced that in order to enhance their data, they plan to require the country and approximate date of sample collection for new submissions starting 2023:

I'm planning to let you enter this information into TypeLoader as part of the pretypings file, once things get more finalized on ENA's side.

For now, nothing changes. This is just a heads-up, so you can take measures to actually have this data when the time comes - or start discussing with ENA why you think this is unfeasible.

This is now in effect, and TypeLoader can handle it as of version 2.14.1: https://github.com/DKMS-LSL/typeloader/releases/tag/2.14.1
