Add Feature: Track Banking Information #2

Add More Features How about you add a feature to track banking info Mpesa do have an expenditure tracking feature on their app which kinda makes it hard for users to seak third party services for that. Probably all the banks in Kenya

Fair point! I'm considering adding bank transaction tracking using statements. So the user can upload bank statements and have their transactions loaded onto the app, and do their analysis from a central place. I can start with the banks I use since those are the ones I have sample data for. That is Equity and NCBA Loop. Then the rest can be added over time.

Thoughts?

Cool, Aren't there any API endpoints for banks to redirect transaction messages? When a user completes a transaction, they get a message to their device, and on your app too. Then you analyse the data,, rather than uploading statements.

There are, but going that route I believe would be too tasking. One would have to integrate each of those bank API's, and the integrations aren't standardized. Plus I believe each user needs to approve of their integrations, which isn't a straight forward process. I stand to be corrected.

In some countries, such apps use an API provided by Plaid, but I've seen it only supports Equity in Kenya. Also the API isn't free. So I'm not keen on going this route either.

I see Mpesa Integrations in websites, when a user completes a transaction on the site, A message is sent to the site from the Mpesa API. How about you also send a message to your end point and make the analysis, This Only applies to businesses.
