.xml metadata file not opening in wizard version 2.0.6 #120

Hello! I am a data steward for the National and some regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers. I have a PI who created a .xml Metadata file with the wizard using the latest version; however, when I attempt to open the file on my end, nothing shows up in the wizard (also the latest version). I was wondering if someone could help me understand where this issue is coming from and how to fix it. Thank you.

@cmorel-usgs I have duplicated this bug using version 2.0.6. on macOS Big Sur 11.4

@charparr / @cmorel-usgs can you confirm if you are still experiencing this issue? Does the problem present in every case, or only with a particular XML file? If you are able to provide the problematic XML, I can look into this in more depth with @ennsk .

Closing issue - there is now a newer release of the tool 2.0.7 which has not presented any issues with opening XMLs (that I'm aware of). I'm also suspicious that this bug might be related to malformation of a particular XML file, but would need to test. Please follow up with @ennsk or @tnorkin directly if this issue presents again.
