Not sure what the canonical ID is for Iowa DNR. This dataset has 913 waterbodies in it, but only 286 of these have the WBID
value (the rest are missing/NA). Other potential IDs in that dataset are Lake_Name
and County
which I think mostly get you to a unique lake? From this link it looks like the WBID
here is a "Legacy ADBCode"
lakeCode
(from bathy) has values like AUP68
while WBID
has values like IA 04-LDM-01395-L
(or NA; as mentioned above, these are legacy IDs). This example is Albia City Reservoir in Monroe county
Matching this to the bathy dataset, there are 176 name/county matches
