Retry database connection up to 4 times #71

There seems to be a race condition as in the docker-compose we do not wait for the mariadb to be fully up, the image is, but the sql service is not (yet).

I also noticed this before. Seems like a good fix

I'll check if the bash still makes sense tomorrow, I think I found a way around it for my use case so doesn't need to be pushed to DockerHUB soon (at least for me).

If it still does make sense I'll check if its also useful for the maintainer image.
