YSmenu-like brightness control #1507

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I would like to be able to use cheats while boostrap is disabled. (I've read on previous posts that "cheats don't work at all on flashcarts", but they do work for me on YSMenu.) Also, I was wondering if there was a way to add something to control the brightness like in YSMenu. Let me explain. With my DS Phat the icon on the select menu (and original menu) only let me set 2 brightness levels, while with YSMenu I can set 4 levels (like the ds lite). It would be cool to have this work on TwilightMenu too. I can't see reasons why these shouldn't work on Twilight, but I'm opened to explanations.

Describe the solution you'd like Add a way to use cheats without boostrap, and an icon to control brightness levels like the YSMenu one.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to implement cheats without flashcards, as the loaders such as YSMenu cannot load them, if set to autoboot a ROM. As for brightness, that's possible, except I don't have a DS lite around to test.

Oh okay, that makes sense about cheats. As for brightness, if there's a way for me to help testing with my DS, I'm pretty much always available. Would love to help you with this fantastic project!

Weren't cheats re-enabled some time ago?

For that matter, is this a TWiLight Menu++ issue or an nds-bootstrap issue? It would be interesting if such support went into the in-game menu, but if cheat codes are working then it seems like a non-issue.
