Flashcard or Exploits? Unlaunch Base Console: DSi

TWiLight Menu++ Version: 25.3.1 TWiLight Menu++ Theme: DSi-based themes

Expected behaviour

When going to another page, navigating to a folder, or starting TWLM++, you could perform per-item actions (settings, launching, or deleting/hiding)

Actual behaviour

When doing this, these buttons have no function, until you move the selector to a different item (and back).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start TWiLight Menu++ and enter a DSi-based theme
  2. Press A, or X, or Y

I was able to reproduce this on my DSONE flashcard as well.

Shouldn't even be possible for this commit to cause the issue.

I was able to reproduce this on my DSONE flashcard as well.

Tried on a DSi XL with Unlaunch, a New 3DS XL with Luma, and a DS Lite with an R4 Ultra, and was unable to reproduce.

After a little more testing, I've found that box art has to be turned off for this to occur. Not sure if there are any other conditions, so here's my settings.ini in case you're still unable to. settings.ini.txt

I've also double-checked that 3723380 is the commit that causes it.

I found that, regardless of what Box art is set to, if Sorting Method set to Custom, when you press D-Pad up to move an item and then drop it without actually moving it, that same item also can't be opened, deleted/hidden, nor you can enter into its per-game settings.

Using this as a reference, I turned on the box art and it worked. If left off, you should need to revert to v25.3.0 or 20220911-213518 (a5af1ca).
