Unable to install "TWiLight Menu.cia" file #2346

Expected behavior

CIA file being successfully installed.

Actual behavior

CIA file unable to install, here's log from FBI:

Failed to install CIA file. Result code: 0xD8E0800B Level: Permanent (27) Summary: Invalid Argument (7) Module: AM (32) Desc: \<unknown> (11)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download latest (v26.5.1) TWiLight Menu from Github.
  2. Do manual install process.
  3. Unable to install CIA file.

Notes

Tried using Universal-Updater to install at first, U-U says the app installed successfully, yet no app icon showed up anywhere. Rebooting the device won't help either. After that I tried to manually install CIA file then this happened.

Have checked the device's SDCard and it's working fine. And I also don't think file is broken or something during downloading.

Some on the internet said that this app will be installed to 3ds NAND, and a corrupted NAND could result in this, I would like to kindly ask whether this is true, and if so, any possible way to detect/fix corrupted NAND?

There might not be enough TWLNAND space left. Try deleting some DSiWare titles to free up space. Please join our Discord server for future assistance.

I got the same error. I found the dsiware twl nand had 0 blocks in system for my hacked 3ds, but there was not any titles in dsiware. How to solve that?

Hi, unfortunately I haven't found any solution either here or on discord. I've eventually decided to purchase an R4 card and a real DS console.

Look for some installed DSiWare titles in FBI title list. They will be listed in purple.

There's not any purple title in FBI title list.

There's not any purple title in FBI title list.

I updated it, but it still does not work.

Finally I found the solution from a post by Chinese. It works for rewriting twln.bin in sysnand virtual.
