Update(?)
I went looking through other users forums that had similar issues. There were two things that different people did, that fixed the problem for them.
(1) neomhor (April 13th 2024)
‘in /_nds/TWiLightMenu/settings.ini i had to set SHOW_BOX_ART to 0 now everything seems to work fine again’
(2) RocketRobz (October 2nd 2023)
‘If it's a Guru Meditation Error, then idk why this happens. Open sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/settings.ini, then set LOGGING to 1. When the error occurs again, please upload the log file from sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/.’
I decided to try both of them to see if this could help solve any issues. There was some slight progress, as you can see from the picture, but the Guru Meditation Error still applies.
I’m so sorry for the quality of the video, but I’m also hoping it helps 😭
But yeah if anyone else has similar experiences please lmk 😭✨

Please post a picture of the SD card you're using. Also, did you follow this guide to reformat the SD card?: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup.html
Of course! Thank you so much for replying.
The SD card I am using is a Sandisk 128GB microSD card. As far as I can see, I did follow the instructions of how to format it, but I will still show what it says on my Disk Utility in case there is something I did wrong by accident. Again, thank you so much for replying.
Does the same issue happen if you use the default skin instead of any custom ones?
I’ll test that now. It could take a while because of deleting the files from SD card & redownloading TwilightMenu, but I’ll try to be quick. I’m also trying to look at the packaging of the SD card incase I’ve accidentally been scammed, but so far the visualisation of the packaging seems legit. I’ll still add pictures just in case.
(sorry for the huge rip, i’m terrible at opening packages 💀)
You were right omg! Apparently the issue was the theme itself. Kinda sad because I really liked that theme 😭
But the weird thing was that it didn’t just happen to the OMORI theme. The one in the video was a dark theme, so I guess my system has an issue with it or something.
Once again, thank you for all your help 😭
(also the themes was working on my dsi xl, i wanted to double check that. i’m not sure why my 3ds is being funky 😭)

Hey, idk if u got it working but its the omori theme, idk why but it crashes twilight menu, so you will have to get another one :P
Hi everyone, this is my first post so I’m very sorry if I format the post wrong. About a week ago, I upgraded my SD card to a larger size. Twilight menu was working perfectly. I could play multiple games without any issue. But yesterday, when I tried to load up TwilightMenu, it resulted in an all red screen, both top and bottom. The SD card is formatted correctly, so I’m not too sure what I am doing wrong. -->

So I updated both, and it still failed to load. Then, I thought it was to do with the colour logo I had for TwilightMenu at the boot screen (magenta nintendo logo). This led me to completely getting rid of the files for TwilightMenu on my SD card, and trying to start fresh, hoping TwilightMenu would boot then. The initial boot up works. It told me to set the language etc, and when I loaded the first game, it worked. However, when I closed TwilightMenu and tried to open it up again, the error screen came back, however this time it showed ‘Loading from SD card’ at the bottom.
