Hi Ghida,
Thanks for reaching out over email. For anyone else who sees this, please manually create the data/
directory using your machine's file explorer software (or Finder for Mac folks). Remember that each directory needs a README.md
file that also explains the purpose of the directory. Do not follow that resource (not sure where you found it but it was not recommended by me or the course website).
Your last question is more open ended: you need both the data/
directory and the labs/
directory. The former stores your data somewhere in data/raw/
or data/rodeo/
whereas the latter is used to store your .r
and .rmd
files within the week specific sub-directories (i.e. labs/wk02/
).
If a folder doesn't exist, that means you have to make it!
Hello,
I was wondering if someone can advise on the below since we(me and my team members) are confused about several things:
Should we set up a directory structure for the whole project using this source: https://github.com/moldach/project-directory?
Which directory structure is the right one to use for lab 2? How could we create it? Is it by using the videos provided for this week?
Thanks a million. Ghida
