I agree with this point. Another option could be to divide each scientific discipline section into sub-sections for empirical research studies, toolboxes, and (maybe) open tutorials/courses?
Yep we coud flip it around - though a thought is that approach could isolate our different disciplines rather than bringing them together under these specific sections. We could point to open science examples, open science toolboxes, etc in the different scientific domains and see the different ways different fields implement this specific topic. That could keep us more general
I think in our current implementation of the examples section we are seeking to share research products (e.g. data and associated code). I noticed open-source toolboxes (that may not be associated with a single research project but more as a resource) may be out of scope for that section. We could have another section within the
examples
chapter to share these toolboxes. It could nicely complement the compiling open science examples
