Doctor Paging System Not Working? #111

Clearly describe the bug: When someone has turned the doctor paging system on, it no longer prevents people from not being able to check in like it used to.

Describe the steps to reproduce: Even when the doctor duty is turned on, the person just checks in and is teleported to a bed like normal instead of paging a doctor instead. Tested this with level 4 and level 3 EMS, same result.

What is the expected behavior? It should work as it used to where if doctor duty is turned on, then no one should be teleported to a bed automatically.

Confirmed this is still happening, when the doctor paging system is on the person can still check in and gets charged 2k

no work has been done to this as it is lower priority and still in the Todo column

I just saw it and thought I'd test it out myself, noticed that it was still happening so popped a quick comment in

when someone changes duty that is a high enough role to effect the "doctor" status it turns off the doctor paging system

for instance i was on duty as a level 4 and turned on the paging system and could no longer check in, and got the PS dispatch notification, however going to the MDT and going "off duty" turned the paging system off, feasibly because there is not a doctor "on duty" at the moment

to expand on this, if you are a doctor and you do go off duty, you can re enable to paging system at the desk and it will in fact not let people check in anymore, but as you are off duty you will not get the dispatch notification when someone tries to check in.

This is how the script is intended to work, as if there is not a doctor on duty you really do want people to be able to check in via nancy

Seems to be working as intended, moving to completed

At one point the entire server got a notification that the doctor page system was active.

Also Kimo stated this: I'm guessing that when one of the resident doctors had doctor page active, but flew out, it it kept the doctor page on even though I switched it to check in active. Then when I quit out and flew back in, the right check-in spot doctor paged, but the left check-in actually worked fine
