3 years ago What do you mean by enchanting limiters? Like, players can only use certain enchantments?

3 years ago Better late than never.
Enchanting limiters are, essentially, a way for server owners to limit which enchantments a specific player may get, and also which levels do they get. Some of them used to "break" the rules of the Vanilla system to allow for level > 5 enchantments. This allowed for "higher tier" enchants (usually VIPs and admins got this treatment).

3 years ago Ah, I see. That's an interesting idea. Doing that will be pretty difficult. I'll need to look into the enchantment tables an anvils to see what I can and can't do with them before I can put any sort of plan for this kind of feature in place. I don't want to make any promises or guarantees at this point, but I'll look into it. It won't be until at least Christmas break though, because the end of semester chaos is beginning to pick up, and my time to work on any of my hobby projects is very limited.
I like when people do plugins related to enchantments and this is a great addition to my server! However, I want to suggest you to expand the plugin's functionality to act as a limiter for "vanilla style" enchantments. This will also be a good time to add a configuration file so users can set their enchant limits too! And why not adding some permissions to the whole thing so users can have different "tiers" of enchant limits? This would be rather cool to have since other enchanting limiters have stopped development after Spigot 1.12.2. Let me know what you think of this suggestion, please.
