Thank you for the nice question and comment! Yes, we are aware of the issue when --tinj becomes less than a few years. We are working on updating the calculation at very early phases of the CSM interaction to resolve this. The core developers (including myself) were defending PhDs for the past few months, but from now we can put more attention to this.
The mass eruption part should still work, so one ad-hoc way to obtain a LC is to "stitch" the resulting CSM to the star and simulate the explosion with other public codes (e.g. SNEC). We would eventually like to have the code be self-contained, but this can serve as an immediate solution.

Wondering is there any thought being put into allowing for the eruption to occur closer to the SN?
It seems I get convergence issues when I set --tinj 1 or 0.5 - although I think this would be a useful development as a lot of Type IIn progenitors show eruptions in the last year or so ...
