Recently there's been an update to the nightly release tags, e.g. instead of NAFD24-02-13 we have NFD_DEV_240213_A9. In addition we've added a second line of development with a second nightly, with names like NFD_PROD4_240213_A9.
Along with nightly tags, based on a conversation on the #daq-sw-librarians Slack channel I had with Wes and Alessandro, it was decided to have a new kind of candidate release name - e.g., fddaq-v4.3.0-rc2-a9 will refer to the second candidate Alma9 build during the fddaq-v4.3.0 release process.
The daq-buildtools documentation should be "modernized" to reflect these changes.
