LGTM! I'm guessing this will pass the CI checks once your other PR gets merged and timing/dal/HSIController will exist!

Just another quick q out of curiosity, we are leaving ing the json config so we can use the data parameter for now?

Yeah, there's still some conversion work to do. I don't know how the command interface might change, so we may have to have some dummy JSON objects around.
