These are very rough estimates, but after just under a day of beam, we’re ready to make predictions about the next 55 days of ProtoDUNE II Beam data taking***. :-)
Here are the assumptions:
during beam DAQ produces roughly 3 TB/hr of data
beam will be operational for 18 hours a day
56 days of beam to EHN1
This comes out to roughly 3 Petabytes of data that is going to get transferred to EOS and then on to CTA. Is there 3 PB of tape available in the next 10 weeks for ProtoDUNE-II raw data?
