Should be pretty easy to add extra hits to events. Would be interesting to see how far we can push the 80 hits per event upwards until it becomes a real problem. For instance, what if we have 200 hits per event; is that a problem?
Will have to check the energy distribution of these random hits. Will for now assume it's above threshold which seems maximally conservative
