Problem updating priiloader from 0.4 to 0.5 #129

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Priiloader installer 0.5 from HBC 1.0.8 (IOS58)
2. Trying to install Priiloader, either with ABHPROT or patched IOS36

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When I try to install Priiloader, I get the following error messages:

Priiloader not found.
Installing priiloader...
Priiloader System Menu ticket not found
Trying to read original ticket...
Unable to read ticket. Path is wrong/too long or ISFS is not initialized yet?

Added info:
4.1E from Pimp My Wii, HBC 1.0.8 IOS58, patched IOS36, Priiloader 0.4 rev78
working.

wait, with ABHPROT the same happens? o_O;

did you copy the meta.xml as well from the zip? and did you get an option to
reload ios (to 36) when just using it?

also, if you can, come to irc if you can so we can resolve this asap

(btw, the new meta.xml is -CRUCIAL- for the installer to work under 58)

hehe, np.

you did point out a bug tho. hence the 0.5 reupload that fixed it :P (or should
anyway)

did I? haha what bug? then should I reinstall it? I did use the previous
installer

it was a bug in the installer (hence the quick update :P ) when AHBPROT was
disabled (aka what you had :P ), and therefor no reinstall is needed.

ok, I understand, you mean the failed installation when using patched IOS36
with AHBPROT disabled, don't you?

ok, i'm glad to be helpful :p but, are you sure you've uploaded the fixed
boot.dol? I've downloaded the last installer and it's just the same than the
previous, same size and same modified date and time :S
