'Autoboot'/'Return to' Options

Please feel free to delete this or point me in the right direction if you 
have somewhere else to request features. I could not find one.

I was wondering if it was possible to add the option to autoboot a title, or 
to set a title (or an installed .dol) in the 'return to' option. For 
instance, I would like to have my Wii return to my USB loader instead of the 
system menu. The forwarder .dol would work for this but I would prefer a 
title because the forwarder channel does a silent boot, whereas the .dol 
shows startup text. As of my version (Priiloader v0.4 beta 3) neither of 
these are an option.

This would make Priiloader perfect in my eyes. Thank you for everything 
you've done.

you can't set it as enhancement lol

basicly i dont understand at all why somebody would want to have return to set 
to a
certain title and booting to another. it doesn't make sense at all. hence why i 
never
added it. 
meaning you can never go to system menu, or hbc or something like that without 
going
into the priiloader menu...

also, if youre using priiloader 0.4 beta anyway; why not use the old forwarder 
anyway?

I wasn't talking about returning to a title and booting to another on the same 
setup, 
simply expanding boot/return options.

When I'm playing something and go to the home menu, 90% of the time it's just 
to go 
back to my USB loader. Returning to a forwarder title/dol would make it a lot 
easier. 
I should still be able to go to the system menu when it's starting up if system 
menu 
is set to autoboot. Personally, I like my home menu to go to my USB loader, and 
power 
off and on to go to the system menu. It's the only way to go straight to either 
my 
loader or the system menu from within a game.

If by old forwarder you mean the USB Loader GX forwarder dol, I've used it, but 
as I 
said it shows start text whereas the forwarder channel doesn't, making it look 
less 
like a mod and more professional. If you meant something else please let me 
know. 
Since you can launch titles from Priiloader now, would it be difficult to add 
it as 
an autoboot/return option?

Don't worry about it if it's too much trouble or if I'm still not making any 
sense 
(I'm told that I rarely do). I would still be very appreciative of this project 
and 
the efforts of all behind it.

If I set Priiloader to return to autoboot and autoboot as a forwarder I should 
be 
able to return to my loader, but I would have to go to Priiloader to get to the 
system menu, right? Normal Wii functions would become a bit of a hassle at that 
point.

Don't worry about it though. I just thought further options would help more 
people 
customize their Wiis to their liking. Actually, I was thinking about my own 
preferences :b but there must be at least a couple others who would use it. 
Maybe.

If it's too much trouble it's not a big deal. Thanks for spending the time 
discussing 
it though.

if you add a autostart/return to title you'd need to get into priiloader as 
well to
get into system menu. see where im going? :P there is no gain nor loss :)

Haha and I already said I wasn't planning on doing both. I just want to return 
to a 
title/dol and autoboot to system menu. Not impossible, but not an option right 
now. I 
didn't want to do the opposite (return to system menu and autoboot to my 
loader) 
because my drive goes idle when the Wii is off for long enough, and if it's 
idle it 
fails at first loading and goes to the system menu, but this takes about 15 
seconds.

We seem to go in a lot of circles. If you don't want to do it there is no need 
to 
worry about it. To be honest, I don't even remember why I cared about the 
option 
enough to look you up and request it o_0

i fail to see how that would help. i mean, let it always boot system menu and 
then
when returning, just boot w/e title you want in system menu...

another counter example would be that return to menu would always end up 
booting that
title; which for example is Megaman 10. have fun never getting anywhere except 
by
getting up and pressing reset or powering down.

ill change the status cause maybe ill do it eventually(someday) but i fail to 
see why
etc etc

I updated to a beta revision of USB Loader GX and it's doing this 
automatically. By the 
next official release it will probably be an option, I'm guessing :) So no need 
anymore

Haha nog. I just wanted to return to the loader when I went to home -> Wii Menu 
while 
still autobooting to the system menu, and the latest beta (rev929) is doing it. 
I was 
thrown off so I updated 2 of my friend's loaders to make sure it wasn't just 
some 
glitch.

That's the only reason I wanted to be able to return to a title or dol. End 
result is 
the same, I just never thought that it would come from them. It's actually 
better if 
this will be a permanent option because it only does it with games it launches, 
so if 
I want to switch Wiiware titles it will still return to the system menu.

So I no longer really need to return to a title or dol for the setup I want
