Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.upgrade priiloader to 0.4
2.connect a usb hdd
3.turn the wii on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
if I load the wii sys menu it will crash, but only if the hdd is powered on
and connected.

What version of priiloader are you using? On what ios/system menu?
0.4, IOS70, 4.2u

Do you have any IOS patches installed? (if so which ios and what patch?)
cIOS 38 rev 17, cIOS hermes rev5

I have an sd card inserted. no dsi error. it just freezes after the h&s screen.
I
don't have a gecko.

there is the gecko output to screen option you know ;)

also, that doesn't make sense... if a SD is inserted the usb shouldn't be
touched.
hell it doesn't get touched...

How would i output to screen? It doesnot code dump. it just freezes at the
channels
screen. it doesn't happen anymore now that I downgraded to priiloader 0.3.
Also the
installer for priiloader 0.4 had a error during the install. that may have
caused it.

there is a setting. enable "display gecko output"

error or warning? and what did it say?
if its a warning about the password file then thats not bad(hence "warning")

maybe it's related to the USB drive, I also have an USB HDD with no problems at
all.

that's weird... you may try with another USB drive and check if it happens

there are a few things i want done by you sid with 0.4

1) test another USB device if you can
2) enable the gecko to screen option and tell me what the last line is that you
see
3) try the test i posted in issue 75, comment 14

I will post gecko output soon.
What does the test do?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
the test was a fix for a different issue much like this (but this crashes after
instead of before system menu booted)

the last line of gecko output is "Hacks: 18"

It then loads a green screen and then the sys menu boots. it works fine if
there usb
hdd is off.
