CHANGELOG

Huge Ass Mapping Update; Xenos Undercity added to the Level 1 Map - mapping alterations also made to the other maps including a touch up off the Outpost Barracks and Kitchen. Should feel more like home.

If you want updates on the Xenos Undercity you’ll need to go on Discord #developmentdiscussion - outside of that I’m not willing to spoil the experience for you.

Icons/Items Added; As part of the mapping update some items/turfs/icons/walls were enabled or added into the game, especially new sprites/icons which were essential for creating the undercity. There’s artifacts, new weapons, items and tech - it’s not all mine and a lot of it was already in the Code but didn’t exist in the game.

A tiny little hint is the addition of a necrotic flesh turf and also a ‘flesh mouth’ that can bite down onto your leg, pin you to the ground then cause further bleeding when you try to escape. The only way to destroy the necrotic turf is with explosives.

Updated the Loot Spawners also - there’s some extra stuff in there.

Bugfixing; Examine text was fixed up to no longer say dumb things. Walls and Areas added / updated. There are a lot of other small edits that are not included in the changelog but are being left out so this thing isn't miles long.

Mobs; Alterations to Chaos Daemons and some new mobs previously not included in the maps are now present - most are manually edited or altered.

Music Updates; Made alterations to the previous Soundtrack that I added and it should work a lot better now. There’s also more music. The soundtrack is present across the map in every single area, with the songs being relevant to the place. They are generally non-intrusive and were all painstakingly merged/equalized/cut in Audacity to fit the server.

Astartes Update; Reduction of Astartes Immortality to ensure they can potentially die with the new update, it was revealed how comically impervious to damage they currently are when attempting to commit suicide during testing. Lasers, bullets and giant mobs of Chaos Daemons[who were edited to deal abnormal amounts of melee damage] were unable to kill the base Astartes even when standing for a period of 1-2 minutes doing nothing as they bludgeoned them to death.

The outpost with recent updates is fully capable of defending themselves and there are also no longer broken antagonists that require an equally broken Space Marine to fight off.

The health of the Astartes Character is reduced from 300 to 200 - the effect is actually hard to notice by itself.

Astartes Power Armor has a reduction of their average rating from 90 to 80 which still far exceeds Carapace Armor which is valued at 55.

Bullet Updates; General pass over most bullets and tweaking. Placed them into logical lines with each other, there should be less favoritism with the bullet types now. The Bolter Round is the most changed and this was thoroughly tested after the update, it’s still a brutal weapon and there’s no other gun in the game that can come close to it. But now it’s not an instant death wand.

Melee Updates; Majority of melee weapons are now generally useful, you don’t HAVE to use a chainsword to deal damage and other options like the Catachan Knife, Trench Axe and Sabre will be useful - there’s some logic applied. Knives deal the lowest amount of damage but have fast attack rate - Chainswords deal even MORE damage but are very slow to swing.
