LHTranslation Site Change #210

Open Vesnyx opened 6 years ago

Vesnyx commented 6 years ago

No idea what's happening with them, but it seems like their old reader is no longer being used. They may be bringing it back in the near future as their latest chapter updates include a "Read Online" tag, but it hasn't been filled.

DakuTree commented 6 years ago

Have went and marked the site as disabled until they get sorted.

Vesnyx commented 6 years ago

So now it gets even weirder. They appear to be using the old system for the reader, but it doesn't track releases. The base URL is: http://read.lhtranslation.com/ followed by the URL scheme that they used to use. They might still be working on something so I'll give it some time.

DakuTree commented 6 years ago

The title pages seem to be auto-redirected to the main page at the moment too. See: http://read.lhtranslation.com/manga-isekai-kenkokuki.html

Went ahead and switched the parser to using their blog for grabbing chapters, rather than waiting for them to sort their site. The chapter format appears to be the same, par a few changes here and there.

I just ran a manual update and it appears to have updated most series correctly, but series without a category will have to be ignored as we can't update them.

Edit: Complete list of series marked as ignored:

@DakuTree, seems like the site icon got broken since the URL changed.

Vesnyx commented 6 years ago

Still doesn't seem like the issue was resolved. 🤔 Don't know why it's still occurring since it looks like everything is fine now on the backend.

DakuTree commented 6 years ago

@Vesnyx That should be it now. Forgot to sync changes from my dev branch.

DakuTree commented 6 years ago

Re-opening this since as expected, there still seems to be some issues with it.

Spotted a few odd cases in the error log the past few days, namely a lot of older series that still lack a proper category.
Not a whole lot we can do about this at the moment since some of them don't even have posts on the blog.

Magnic commented 5 years ago

Will this ever be sorted out?

DakuTree commented 5 years ago

@Magnic Unlikely unless they switch to using a proper manga reader.
Current site is an absolute pain to track as it's essentially just a blog now, and they have a habit of constantly changing titles which require manual fixes.

@DakuTree Can you re-enable this website?
