I'm sorry that you lost your save. This seems like a serious issue but I'm unable to replicate it. Is there any more information you can give me?
Hopefully with your help we can get this nailed down. I would hate to see anyone else lose their save.
the last version,i have all required mod listed on epic valheim, was playing on game server, on background was trying to connect to steam and failed after a long time loading, none of my friends that have all mods could get in, we lost 10h of gameplay, this fix was the last hope of getting rid of huge desync we had

- What version of NetworkFix were you using?
- Did you have any other mods?
- Was this a dedicated server or were you hosting a server from the game?
- Was there an error log that might be helpful?

What troubleshooting did you do to narrow down that my mod was the one that caused the problem? This mod is fairly simple and just exposes a few variables. It shouldn't interrupt your connection to Steam and certainly should mess with your game world. It sounds like there is a good chance it was one of your other mods. If you can upload the log from your server that could help narrow it down.
i was playing the game just fine with all mods, when i put yours the game wont enter the server, if i delete the mod the game work. but the save was reset to day 1 with all markers on map

Would you be able to load a world that you don't care about and see if it happens again? Then please provide the log as I can think of no reason why or even how my mod could cause this. Without the log I can neither fix it or point out the real culprit.
most likely, this problem has nothing to do with this mod, I use it on a server with 20+ players and everything is fine.
I've encountered 0 issues with saves, definitely sounds like another mod but without server logs we can't really pin it down.
the lost save happened but maybe got corrupted or whatever, but my concern is about the failed to connect in any world, even created from scratch it wont log in for anyone else

i just had this happen to me, tried the mod due to desyncs, can load world but everything but map progress hs been erased, even been reset to day 1
i should not im using the epicvalhiem modpack, no issues othe than desync, hence why i tried the network fix
How strange... So this was the only mod you were using and your world was erased? Do you have a log file I can look at because I've been looking over the code and still haven't found a reason why this is happening. Any information you can give would be helpful.

It's possible. But I did dig up an old mod that edits some of the variables I am and there was an issue with it causing desync and a post about someones world restarting from day 1 so I can't just brush it off. I've added some try/catch blocks to make it safer and detect if something isn't working and also detected ZNet being destroyed so we don't try to mess with it while it doesn't exist. I still can't replicate this bug so I won't close the issue but my hope is 1.1.1 should ensure that his doesn't happen again.

Hi Alderionn, With regards to the inability to connect to any world, do you have the mod installed on the server as well and configured the same as the client?

I dropped your fix on my client + on my dedicated server. Everything looks fine for now. I'm gonna test it today with 4/5 or 6 people on server and let you know how it works. We experienced huge de syncs when we played with more than 3 ppl on server. Hope that fix gonna sort all our problems :).
Also if can i ask, becouse i put 2 other mods called: "Server side simulations" , and "Valheim Network Optimizer" and i ran a server together with your NetworkFix. Can be there some problem if am i using them together?
I checked it in game of course and i can play on server but just wondering if they can have some conflict.
Ah and btw I didn't lost a save. Everything looks fine to me. I am gonna edit that post later on with some updates.
Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you yesterday. I would be interested in the results of your testing. As for compatability between those mods VNO changes some of the same variables that this mod does so it might be better to drop that one. I don't have any personal experience with Server-Side Simulations but I read in their comments on Nexusmods that people have tried it with success and were even recommending it to fix a bug so it might be fine.
update: i have installed the network fix on my dedi server, and so far everything appears as normal, so i must of been hella unlucky the first time round
Soooo, i tested with 5 people and it works! 🔥 No de-sync anymore. My plugins on servers are Valheim network optimizer + server side simulations + your network fix. And each of us in "STRESS" situations got about 250 / 280 data receive. Data sent is about 60 usually but it depends becouse sometimes can jump more. I noticed about 100kb/s + when was alone on a boat and i was travelling to my friends (group of 4) to their "chunk" .
On SSS plugin i changed one of the line in config about loading objects from 100 to 500 as well. All together works perfect and i can enjoy the game with everybody.
Edit: We played like 2 days constantly with 4/5 together, sometimes with 10 greydwarf + troll attacking us and nothing :)
