OK. I opened this issue because the inch fasteners table looked like a rough draft or placeholder in need of completion. I'll close this and wait for the reusable tables.
Need to fix this to continue testing units in design tables
The Smith Fastener source does not adequately identify the nuts listed, since no thread pitch or thread series is given. Some of the sizes listed do not appear in the ANSI tables provided in Machinery's Handbook in the same series. That is, not all of the sizes listed can all be from the same thread series (UN, UNC, UNF, UNEF).
What I'm trying to say is, a better source is needed. I should replace it all from tables in MH when I come back to this. Add the sizes under 1/4" also.
I am currently working on a feature that will make this much easier. I track it here https://github.com/jreinhardt/BOLTS/issues/71
The idea to have reusable tables. So instead of adding e.g. pitch data to all fasteners with metric threads and duplicate this data, one can then have tables for that in a central place and reference it wherever it is needed. But it is not finished yet.
