Ken's troubles connecting his Asus laptop to his Chewi tablet

This morning when I tried to run VoterMate on my Chewi tablet, the connection dies 4 seconds after the USB debugging enabled message showed up. This time the tablet had been plugged into a charger all night and the battery was at 99%. I am not sure why it was at 99% and not at 100%. Perhaps, I unplugged it from the charger a few minutes before I used it, or perhaps the charger had stopped charging it and it had drained a bit. In any case, I plugged it back into the charger and half an hour later, I tried connecting it again and it worked. These are the steps I have taken:

• I ordered another Chewi tablet yesterday which should arrive today
• I ordered another laptop from Walmart - it is waiting there for me if I need it
• I put in a support call to Asus and should hear back from them today or tomorrow. I will see if I can recreate the problem when they are on the phone.

I am going to close this. The Chewi tablet that it is known to fail on has a hairline crack in the screen. I have always been able to update it by getting the Chewi tablet up to 100% battery. And that's a decent work around.
