My Toshiba Laptop Windows 7 does the same thing. I'm not sure how to use
touchfreeze? Is there something I could do to help this situation? Something
newer available. Today's date is 6/26/14 Thanks.

I have the same problem, and have been reading complaints about this issue
going back at least five years. How is it even possible that such an annoying
glitch has not yet been clearly diagnosed and a simple, straightforward
solution provided to everyone?
My control panel does not have any "Tapping" or "tap-to-click" option anywhere
that I can find. The "touchfreeze" file does not have a valid Publisher's
signature.

Very pleased to see others who have this problem. I have Vista 32 home premium
with built-in touchpad. Alps util. touchpad detection with 2 buttons L & R.
Letters appear within sentence out of turn. Otherwise it may seize. Often the
cursor flies off to off the field of vision.
Nothing solves it but a factory reset, seems to me from last time, yet it
returns.
Is it certain letters that trigger?

I installed TouchFreeze donationware 1.1.0 from
https://code.google.com/p/touchfreeze/ on my Dell Inspiron laptop with Vista
Home Premium. The jumping cursor problem has not shown its ugly head ever
since. I leave it in Automatic Mode (by right or left-clicking on the
TouchFreeze icon in the notification area of the task bar, and selecting "Load
at system startup").
