We need to make it simpler to generate Wikidata items for given references, so let's start with a tool that does it based on a DOI and that can be triggered either manually or by a bot.

https://github.com/mitar/bib2wikidata already goes in this direction, and the specs are being worked out in https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Source_MetaData/Bibliographic_metadata_for_scholarly_articles_in_Wikidata
