At the Data Science Institute (DSI) of the University of Virginia, we have weekly team meetings, and once a month, DSI people engaged in research give a lightning talk ("5-8 min") on the research they do.

On August 27, it will be my turn, and this ticket serves to collect my notes on this.

In this presentation, I will highlight how research can be made visible, using my own as an example.

and discussed some of the pros and cons of sharing research in these ways as well as the respective granularity and topicality of the research available through them.

Today, I gave a similar presentation as part of a meeting at the Biocomplexity Institute, and this time, I showed some slides.

For the moment, they sit in a Google doc, but I may put them up (or some version of them) somewhere more persistent.
