style update and gitignore #5

updated for latest Xcode (Version 7.2 (7C68))
fixes some style nits and inconsistencies (mostly spaces)
rm unneeded semicolons
rm unused main.swift file
adds minimal .gitignore

Just one comment regarding .gitignore. If t's in the repo, what do you think about making it a bit more extensive? along the lines of github/gitignore/Swift.gitignore
