DMX Artnet possible? #3

I don't know if this is possible on an ESP32, but it would actually be really cool if there was an option to instead be controllable over Wifi via Artnet DMX, which would make the light compatible with other production equipment, as opposed to Home Assistant which is more suited to a home studio.

I've considered this possibility. It would require a full implementation of Artnet DMX for ESPHome though, which I currently do not have the technical skills or know-how to do or the right equipment to test and verify. I'd be open to collaborate on something though and would consider acquiring the technical skills and know-how if provided with the right equipment to test and verify an implementation with.

Note: since ESPHome provides a HTTP server component you can control the WIFI enabled light with any device or system that can send simple HTTP requests. For example Bitfocus Companion supports this. Not sure if there are any Artnet DMX components that allow for such an integration.

If you're curious about playing around with DMX / Artnet, I can strongly recommend the Open Source https://qlcplus.org/
