How about other drives you have?

Sadly, I'm using a MacBook Air and I don't have any other external optical
drives to test with (and I can't install 10.8 on any of my other macs). But I
get the same behavior on a Macbook (and the Plextor) running 10.7 (the
MacBook's internal optical drive works fine with XLD). XLD 20091230 exhibits
similar behavior.
The drive spins up and 20120908 creates a 28 byte file for the first track
(20091230 does not) but XLD then becomes unresponsive and no more data is
written to the file. Eventually the drive spins down (nothing appears in the
logs).
Perhaps this isn't XLD's fault: the PX-B120U isn't officially Mac compatible
and only comes with Windows drivers but it's odd (at least, from my naive
perspective) that it works quite happily with iTunes et al but not XLD.

Hm, how about using the other ripper mode? If you are using the CDParanoia
mode, try using the burst mode or XLD secure ripper mode instead. And also try
disabling C2 pointer if you are using it.

Thanks! I disabled C2 pointers and everything seems to work fine.
