Can't get cover art #149

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load audio CD
2. Select CDDB>Search cover art...

How about the reproducibility (always, sometimes, rarely, ...)? Always

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Cover art or not found.
Message in red letters that says "Your AccessKey id is not re..."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 20121222
(142.2). OS X 10.8.2.

Please provide any additional information below. I checked my AWS AccessKey and
Secret and both are correct and according to the AWS website are active.

Seems to be similar to Issue 116. Is your account registered for Product
Advertising API?

Product Advertising was listed as one of my subscribed services, however, I
registered again and now cover art is working. Thanks.

BTW, I had looked at 116 before I posted, but it did not appear to be the same
issue. Since the red message that comes up was cut off, it was not very helpful.

Well, the message could be read if you make the window wider. And the whole
message is always available via its tooltip.

Hi - I came across this same issue today.

This is a usability problem. Everything you say is true, but the the user (me)
won't think to expand the window, because there is a huge blank area to the
right of the error message.

When I widen the window a LOT, it still cuts off after /gp/flex... in the
amazon URL. I think it stops expanding the text when the width matches my
display.

I'm attaching a couple screen shots.

Let me also take this opportunity to thank you for XLD.

Also, it would be great if the amazon link were clickable.

Well, isn't a tooltip enough?

Dan's issue really tracks with mine. When the message stops with that much
blank space to the right, it is not intuitive that one needs to expand the
window. I agree with making the link clickable. I assume the goal is for the
user to solve their problem. That is more likely to occur if the link takes
them to the correct place to resolve the issue. The AWS site really stinks in
terms of finding the correct component service.
