XLD doesn't update metadata for similar CDs from iTunes Gracenote data #266

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Insert a CD for ripping that is not in MusicBrainz or FreeDB but is in
Gracenote and discoverable by iTunes
2. The CD titles will appear in XLD. I have seen that XLD is getting those
from iTunes, since iTunes opened the CD and did a Gracenote lookup first, and
that XLD pulled in THAT metadata
2. Successfully extracted the CD to FLAC with correct metadata
3. Eject CD and insert a different CD (multi-CD set) which just happened to
have the same number of tracks that also isn't in any DB but Gracenote
(different timings, but identical track count)
4. Track names come up in XLD but they refer to the previous disk, even tho
iTunes pulled up the correct metadata

How about the reproducibility (always, sometimes, rarely, ...)?
Always

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
XLD should update the metadata iTunes retrieved, but instead it displays the
old data.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 20140504 (147.0) under OS X 10.8.5

Please provide any additional information below.

Known issue. Metadata from iTunes cannot be distinguished when they have the
same disc title and total track number. (re: issue 101 in Japanese)

Would it be possible / make sense to have XLD do Gracenote lookups of it's own
for metadata? Also, thank you for the quick reply.

Access to the gracenote database is restricted to granted (paid) apps. It is
only available with indirect access via iTunes database.
