Get Metadata fails to retrieve track names and/or title & artwork #324

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set to Automatically connect to CDDB
2. Detect pregap
3. Click Get Metadata (makes a bonk - nothing)
4. Click CDDB - Get Track Names (nothing)
5.  Click CDDB - query fill in missing items (nothing)

How about the reproducibility (always, sometimes, rarely, ...)?
Occurred and remains persistent now.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
CD title, artwork, track titles
No artwork, Audio CD, numbered generic CD tracks 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
20141129 (148.1)
